Lyndsey DeLouya is a research assistant in the Justice Policy Center at the Urban Institute, where she contributes to several projects related to violence prevention and community safety.

Before joining Urban, DeLouya held research positions at the Vanderbilt University Policy Lab, where she examined health disparities during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Vanderbilt University Building Knowledge Lab, where she conducted research on misinformation for her honors thesis. In addition, DeLouya gained hands-on criminal legal experience in her work providing legal resources to indigent clients as a legal intern with the Federal Defenders of New York. She also campaigned to release wrongly incarcerated individuals in Nashville with the Vanderbilt Prison Project, a student-led advocacy organization.

DeLouya holds a BA in psychology and public policy studies from Vanderbilt University.
