On May 13th, the Charles Colson Task Force on Federal Corrections with Chair J.C. Watts, Jr., and Vice-Chair Alan Mollohan held its third public meeting. The Colson Task Force, established by Congressional mandate, is a nine‐person, bipartisan, blue ribbon panel charged with examining challenges in the federal corrections system and developing practical, data‐driven policy responses. Through speaker panels, this meeting explored two critical topic areas that help further inform the Task Force as it formulates recommendations: perspectives from the defense bar and innovative practices across the federal justice system.
