    Urban's Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy (CNP) is a trusted partner to nonprofit, corporate, and philanthropic leaders, large and small, advancing positive social impact in dozens of communities.

    Strategic advising

    The Health Foundation for Western and Central New York partnered with CNP to interview leaders of upstate New York nonprofits to inform the development of an advocacy strategy for the foundation. 

    Evidence assessments

    The Robin Hood Foundation requested an independent review of its benefit-cost metrics to validate the strengths of its current approach and to identify opportunities for refinement. 

    Grantmaking and grantmaking analysis

    The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation partnered with CNP to manage, administer, and monitor $3 million in grants across three nationwide grantmaking initiatives focused on expanding the use of new data developments. 

    Building capacity to measure and manage performance

    The Citi Foundation selected CNP to be the data and evaluation capacity-building partner to its Community Progress Makers grantees, a group of 40 national and regional high-impact nonprofit organizations empowering community change in six cities across the country.

    Program evaluations

    The United Way of the National Capital Area selected CNP to conduct an evaluation of its five-year Community Commitment Plan.

    The Local Initiatives Support Corporation partnered with CNP to evaluate the AmeriCorps program’s impact on AmeriCorps members.

    New York City Service selected CNP to perform an in-depth evaluation of two AmeriCorps programs, Civic Corps and City Service Corps.
